The music of Bob Marley & The Wailers had a far reaching influence, to Marley music had a purpose beyond pure entertainment, his aim was to reach out and try to bring together people no matter what colour or creed.
"Exodus"(1977) was the album that went a long way to helping him close in on his goal.
It was without doubt the first major cross over reggae album bought by listeners who had never been exposed to reggae before, it may not be his best, or even my favourite, album but it did expose him to a massive new audience around the world as such the importance of this album is it's universal message, it broke all barriers. One Love.
