The Blues - Frankie Miller

Today is a journey to the edge of the blues, Frankie Miller may not be the first name that comes to mind when talking about the blues.

Miller is without doubt one of Scotland, if not the world's, greatest vocalists, his is a unique and strong voice which can project both power and intimacy in equal measures.

Steeped in R&B/Stax his albums were often patchy but as a songwriter he also produced some excellent songs which have over the years been covered by many artists, "Ain't Got No Money" from the above album "The Rock" being an ideal example as a big hit for Bob Seger and as such is a deserving "Track of the Day".

The Last Goodbye

Ten years ago today Jeff Buckley was lost to this world, for an artist with only one full album "Grace" released to the public, the loss would not be fully appreciated until his continued influence grew, we can only wonder what form his ever evolving music would have taken in the last ten years.

The "Track of the Day" must be "The Last Goodbye" which you can enjoy on video below:-
